Keynote Speakers:

Michael Kosnett, MD, MPH, FACMT has more than twenty-five years’ experience as a board certified physician specializing in medical toxicology, occupational medicine and internal medicine.  He is an Associate Clinical Professor in the Division of Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, and an Attending Physician at the Rocky Mountain Poison and Drug Center. He recently served on several Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division work groups on cannabis product potency and equivalencies, and he is a technical consultant to the CDPHE Retail Marijuana Public Health Advisory Committee on the pharmacology of cannabinoids. 

Armand Lebovits, LCSW, CAC III is a licensed clinical social worker and a senior level certified addictions counselor. Armand is a Past President and board member with COAFCC and currently serves on the MDIC Board of Directors and on the Colorado Supreme Court Standing Committee on Family Issues. Mr. Lebovits has been the Substance Use Disorders trainer for the CFI Certificate Program offered by State Judicial (SCAO). Armand’s practice is primarily focused on psychotherapy, investigations/evaluations and other divorce-related services. Mr. Lebovits has delivered lectures on drug testing technologies over the last several years to MDIC, Boulder IDC, FLI and the National CLE Family Law Conference.

Kathryn Wells, MD, FAAP is the Medical Director of the Denver Health Clinic at the Family Crisis Center where she serves as the child abuse and neglect consultant for Denver Health, the Denver Department of Human Services, the Denver Police Department and the Denver District Attorney’s Office. Dr. Wells is also an attending physician with the Kempe Child Protection Team at Children’s Hospital Colorado and is an Associate Professor in Pediatrics at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. She is the Colorado past president of the American Academy of Pediatrics and has received numerous awards including their Special Achievement Award.
