The Caregiver Advocacy Program is a direct services program at the Rocky Mountain Children’s Law Center, an interdisciplinary legal nonprofit addressing child welfare issues statewide.
The Caregiver Advocacy Program provides limited/full representation to nonparent caregivers in juvenile, family law, and probate matters. Our services focus advancing the safety and stability of children who cannot be in the care of their biological parents through child-centered, and trauma-informed advocacy that seeks sustainable solutions. Services in all cases are provided on a sliding scale basis. Payments plans are available for retainer and ongoing case fees.
The Children’s Law Center also provides educational advocacy, civil legal services to youth who have experienced homelessness or other trauma, GAL representation in protection order cases, therapeutic yoga and gardening programs, and support for current and former foster youth organizing for systemic change. The Children’s Law Center offers technical assistance to other professionals, public and professional trainings, expert consultation, and other opportunities for collaboration.
